John Clohessy to leave band after 18 years!!
We are sad to announced that John Clohessy will be leaving the band in June of 2012.
John joined Cruachan in 1993 when Keith Fay went from playing bass to guitar. He has always said he would retire from music when he reached the milsetone age of 40, that time has come and he was not lying.
John had this to say: “Playing with Cruachan has been a great… and amazing experience. I have met some great people along the way and toured countries I never thought I would see. I am sad to leave but feel I have reached a point where I want to spend as much time as possible with my family while my children are still young. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on the way.”
